Advice of Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayyed Ali Sistani (d.z.a.) to the Speakers in the month of Muharram

Salamunalaikum

The month of Muharram is about to start and we are getting prepared to mourn our beloved Imam Husain (a.s.) and conduct majaalis and other rituals, our supreme religious authority Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayyed Ali Sistani (d.z.a.) has issued some instructions for the speakers who address majaalis in this month.

Imam Mohammad Baqir (as) said about the above verse:
"Slain in the way of Allah is 'in the way of Ali (as) and his descendants (as)'..."

Eid Mubarak to all Momineen

Our Eid is incomplete without our Imam (atfs)

May Allah hasten the reappearance of our beloved Imam (atfs).

Reward of Fasting

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said,

 ‘Verily Allah, Blessed and most High, says,

The fast is solely for Me and I am its reward.

Real Meaning of Fasting

Imam Ali (a.s.) said,

“Fasting is just as much keeping away from prohibited things as it is keeping away from food and drink.”

Fasting in Hot Weather

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says,

“One who observes fast for a single day during summer and feels extremely thirsty, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime appoints a thousand angels to go to him, move their hands on his face and give him glad tidings. When he intends to end his fast, Allah says,

‘How good your soul and your smell are! O angels! I hold you witness that I have forgiven this person’.”
