Pigeons Curse the Killers of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

Daood bin Farqad, who says that I was seated in the house of Imam Jafar as- Sadiq (a.s.) when we saw a pigeon (called Zaghabi) humming.

Imam (a.s.) turned towards me and asked,

“O Dawood! Do you know what this bird is saying?”

I replied in the negative. Imam (a.s.) said,

“It curses the murderers of Imam Hussain (a.s.), thus preserve such pigeons in your houses.”

Who was victorious in ‪‎Karbala‬

Shaikh Al-Tusi relates from Imam Ja’far as Sadiq (a.s.), that when Imam Ali bin Husayn Zainul Abedeen (a.s.) returned back after the martyrdom of his father (a.s.), Ibraheem bin Talha bin Abdullah (or Ubaydullah) came to receive him and said, “O Ali bin Husayn! Who was victorious?” Imam, who was in the midst of the litters (of Camels), and had covered his head, said,

“O you who desires to know who was victorious, recite the Azaan and Iqamah at the time of the Prayers”

Twenty Years of Weeping of Imam Sajjad (a.s.)

Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (a.s.) said:

Ali Ibn al‑Husayn (A.S.) cried (over Husayn (a.s.)) for twenty years, never would any food be placed before him except that he would begin to weep.

Status of Hazrat Abbas (a.s.)

أبا عبد اللّه الصادق عليه السلام يقول:

كان‏ عمنا العباس‏ بن‏ علي‏ نافذ البصيرة صلب‏ الإيمان

Imam Sadiq (A.S.) said:
"Our uncle Abbas(a.s.) the son of Ali (a.s.) had a penetrating insight and a firm faith."
